What do we offer?
With God's help, we are committed to providing a place of refuge where ministry to individuals, couples, families and small groups can take place, in a retreat setting of natural beauty, apart from the distractions of the secular world, and with a focus on the work of the Holy Spirit in conforming all of us to the image of Jesus Christ.
To accomplish this goal, we are building a retreat and conference center, initially composed of a central retreat house (under construction), Duckabush House (currently available for bookings) and with additional cabins (to be constructed in the future). These facilities will provide for and facilitate a program of ministry to spiritual and emotional needs of guests. We see this ministry developing in several phases. |

Where are we now?The Refuge is currently under development on 17.5 acres of forest land in the Duckabush Valley, about two miles from the Hood Canal. Surrounded by mountains rising 3,000 to 5,000 feet above the valley floor, The Refuge rests in the rain shadow of 5700 ft. Mount Jupiter.
Construction is underway on
the Main Lodge, a 12,000 sq ft log structure in the Alpine tradition, which
will accommodate up to 30 guests in six large and comfortably appointed
suites. The spacious Great Room is complemented by a Foyer, both sharing
a double-hearth traditional wood fireplace. The Library provides an inviting
space for quiet reading reflection and relaxation. Additional meeting
space can be found in the loft with its fireplace as well as the large
ground floor recreation area. |
